About Us
I have loved animals since I can remember! I currently have four cats of my own Grace, Onyx, Riley, and Oliver and I also have a Quarter Horse named Sam. I do Hunters and some Combined Training with him at a co-op barn here in Raleigh. I had lived in my hometown of Knoxville, TN for most of my life and that is where I started working for two wonderful vet clinics and started building a loyal client base for my pet and house sitting business, over 8 years ago. My husband Brent and I moved to Raleigh so that we could pursue our Master's Degrees and we look forward to staying here for many years to come. Currently, I provide pet sitting services on a part time basis while also working for a local non-profit organization, serving at risk youth, in the downtown Raleigh area.
I have shown competitively in a number of riding disciplines, including Hunter/Jumper, Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat, and Western. I qualified for the Morgan Horse National and World Championships in 2000 and came in third place out of over 25 riders in my Hunt Seat Class. I have enjoyed a diverse experience with the types of horses I have ridden over the years as well as the disciplines, which has increased my horse knowledge and care capabilities.
I was featured in the Knoxville News Sentinel newspaper a few summers ago, for an article interview as well as pictures at one of my pet and house sitting jobs. I explained the benefits of pet sitting over the traditional boarding situation, which gave readers an inside look at the duties and professionalism that are expected in this line of work.
